Studio Röder is a spatial design practice focused on the design of furniture, objects and spaces in an extended sense.
The works explore the strength of clarity, lightness and reduction. By working with emptiness, not only the object itself but also the negative space that the object has created will be respected. A negative space does not signify a lack of something; an empty space poetically invites the air, the users, the environment and the spirit of a space to complete the work itself.
The artistic works focus on simple forms and calm spaces based on a consistent quality. These are reduced to their essential structure, material and function. By eliminating unnecessary factors and emphasizing a single material, not only the form but also the process of making it are simplified.
Various surface finishes and the resulting colors are also an essential component for the pieces and ultimately complete the work.
